The proposed project at Camarillo Airport consists of the rehabilitation of the existing Runway 8-26 pavement, including pavement milling and resurfacing/repair, and rehabilitation of the existing Runway 8-26 edge lighting system. The existing pavement has surpassed its usable life and continues to deteriorate. Deteriorating pavement creates foreign object debris (FOD) which can damage aircraft and presents a safety issue for pilots. The proposed project will allow the airport to make needed repairs to existing pavement and lighting, prevent continued deterioration, and provide a safer airfield environment.
