Full Description

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), in support of the ProgramExecutive Office - Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence (PEO-C4I), Networks, Information Assurance (IA), and Enterprise Services Program Office (PMW 160), intends to competitively procure the design, development and production of the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES) system. PMW 160 is hosting a CANES System Requirements Review (SRR), which will be held in San Diego, CA on Monday, 30 June 2008. The event will be held at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego Theatre located at 1600 Iwo Avenue, Bldg 30, MCRD San Diego, CA 92140. The CANES SRR will be held from 8:00AM until 5:00PM (PDT). Check-in will be from 7:15AM 7:45AM. Briefings will begin promptly at 8:00AM. Directions and instructions for entering MCRD can be found at http://www.mccsmcrd.com/Maps/MCRD_Visitors_Map.aspx. A valid drivers license, vehicle registration and proof of insurance is required to enter MCRD. The purpose of the CANES System Requirements Review (SRR) is to provide industry with updated draft CANES requirements information and to give industry an opportunity to submit written questions to PMW 160. The goal of the CANES SRR is to ensure that all system and performance requirements derived from Capability Development Document (CDD) are defined and consistent with program objectives. The maximum capacity for the CANES SRR is four hundred (400) attendees. Registration is limited to two (2) participants per Company. All registrants must supply their company name and Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code for registration. The company name and CAGE code will be verified via the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to registration confirmation via email. Registration will close on 26 June 2008. Interested parties must register online no later than 26 June 2008 at: http://srrregistration.sraprod.com. All participants will be required to check-in on the day of the CANES SRR. Attendees will be required to show a picture identification at check-in. Only those attendees who have registered prior to the 26 June 2008 deadline will be admitted. No walk-in registrations or substitutions will be allowed on the day of the event. Any questions regarding the CANES SRR event should be directed via email to contact@example.gov.
