The Mesquite Independent School District (MISD) Food & Nutrition Services Department is requesting bids for the purchase, demolition, and turnkey installation of a Cooler/Freezer Combo unit specifically for Cannaday Elementary School. The project requires vendors to attend a highly mandatory site visit scheduled for May 28, 2026, starting with check-in at 1:00 PM and beginning at 2:00 PM at Cannaday Elementary School, followed by a visit to Smith Elementary School. Attendance at this site visit is essential for vendors to fully understand the project scope and existing conditions; missing it does not exempt vendors from the responsibility of comprehending project requirements. Bids must be submitted by June 4, 2026, and vendors are required to present a valid government-issued ID for campus access. MISD staff will escort all attendees during the visit for security and coordination. The solicitation number for this project is 2026-009, with Jessica Garcia serving as the primary contact for inquiries. The project involves both the removal of existing equipment and professional installation of the new Cooler/Freezer Combo unit to meet the district’s operational needs in its nutritional services program.
