The purpose of this project is to stabilize the existing gate fence posts located at the Carrol Canyon Basin in Carnegie State Vehicular Recreation Area to protect the improve access for maintenance activities and to keep riders from entering the area. State Parks staff will:
At two (2) locations, remove one (1) existing H-brace fence post;
At each location, use an augur to excavate two (2) 12-in. dia. x 3-ft deep holes;
Re-install the H-braces in the holes and dry-pack cement into the holes around the braces and add water to harden the cement; and
Once cement had cures, reconnect the existing barbed wire fencing and/or rehang a gate.
