The solicitation seeks a CASE, COMPRESSOR, AIR with NSN 2840-01-035-2030 and part number 6029T29G08, designed for installation of stator vanes in the F110 engine, constructed of steel and measuring 9.5 inches long by 17.25 inches wide by 17.5 inches high, weighing 23 pounds. The contract is anticipated to be awarded as a firm fixed price arrangement with a minimum order of 198 units and a maximum of 1,191 units, with the first delivery of 794 units required on or before January 6, 2027, to destination SW3211. Electronic submission is mandatory, with no telephone solicitations accepted, and an Ombudsman is available for contractor concerns during proposal development. The solicitation will be accessible via SAM.gov, with responses due by September 25, 2026, and an estimated award date approximately 45 days after closure. While commercial item acquisition policies under FAR Part 12 are not being used, offerors may propose commercial alternatives within 15 days of notice. Export control regulations do not apply to this item.

The U.S. Air Force, through the 421st Supply Chain Management Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, is conducting market research to identify qualified sources for the new manufacture of the Case and Vane Assembly, identified by part number 2214M16G01 and NSN 2840-01-527-8472PR, intended for use on the F110 platform. This effort, published under Notice ID FD2030-270-0072, is not a solicitation and does not constitute a commitment to award a contract or allocate funds; its sole purpose is to gather information on potential suppliers to inform future acquisition strategies, including determinations on competitiveness and eligibility for small business set-asides. Interested vendors must indicate their interest via the designated button, and responses are sought from all eligible sources, including small businesses, 8(a) firms, HUBZone entities, service-disabled veteran-owned businesses, and women-owned small businesses. Potential suppliers must demonstrate the capability to fully manufacture the component from the ground up, including sourcing materials, performing inspection and testing, ensuring proper preservation and packaging, and managing logistics and supply chain risks such as diminishing manufacturing sources and long-lead procurement. The effort may also involve nonrecurring engineering costs associated with qualifying as an approved source. The National Industrial Classification System code is 336412, with a size standard of 1,500 employees, and performance will occur at Tinker AFB. Responses are due by July 24, 2026, and all communications must be directed to the designated workflow email. No contract award is anticipated from this market research initiative.
