The 48th Contracting Squadron at RAF Lakenheath is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing four high-fidelity CBRN M4A1 JCAD Simulators or equal units to support safe and effective training for chemical warfare and hazardous material scenarios. The simulators must visually and functionally replicate the real-world M4A1 JCAD chemical detector, with a green body and blue rain cap cover for clear identification as training equipment. They must accurately simulate a broad range of chemical agents including nerve, blister, and blood agents, toxic industrial chemicals, and false positives, while also modeling environmental factors such as wind direction, temperature shifts, and night vision conditions. The system must replicate real-world operational behaviors including sieve pack and battery depletion, missing components, confidence testing, contamination, decontamination, and persistence. Instructors must be able to control scenarios remotely to adjust contamination levels, decontamination effectiveness, and persistency. The devices must respond to electronic inputs simulating chemical vapors and be deployable in diverse environments including indoor public buildings with rapid setup and configurable scenarios. The requirement is for four units to be delivered to Building 1092 on RAF Lakenheath, with a preference for the ARGON brand or an equal alternative. This is a Sources Sought notice under solicitation number FA558726SS01, issued for planning purposes only, with no intention to obligate funds or award a contract at this stage.
