Requirement: To carry out the inspection, repair, and maintenance and alterations of the Canadian Coast Guard Vessel CCGS Griffon in accordance with Annex A - Statement of Work, and any associated technical information. The alongside refit includes regulatory work to meet certain class requirements and certifications. Work items may include: bilge cleaning, annual fire system inspection, propulsion generators, motors, overcurrent protection, propulsion control system, motor blowers, generator and motor coolers, annual Megger testing, AC circuit breakers, refrigeration cooling water discharge piping, stores crane inspection, main crane load monitoring system, etc.
Optional Bidder’s Conference: A bidders' conference call will be held on Monday April 17th, 2023, at 9AM (EST).
The scope of the requirement outlined in the bid solicitation will be reviewed during the conference and questions will be answered. It is recommended that bidders who intend to submit a bid attend or send a representative.
Optional Site Visit - Vessel: Arrangements have been made for a one (1) day vessel viewing on April 13th, 2023 from 9 am (0900 hrs) to 5 pm (1700 hrs) (EST) to be held at 401 King Street West, Prescott, ON. Any covid or other related protocols at that time must be followed by the participants.
The Work Period is from: June 7th, 2023 to August 30th, 2023.
The Work will take place at the following address: Canadian Coast Guard Base Prescott 401 King Street West Prescott, Ontario K0E 1T0
Sourcing Strategy: The sourcing strategy related to this procurement will be subject to the following Trade Agreements: o Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA)
This procurement is exempt from NAFTA (see Chapter 10, Annex 1001.2b, paragraph 1 (a)) and from the WTO-AGP (see Annex 4).
The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
