The Rochester Genesee Regional Transportation Authority (RGRTA) has announced its intention to enter into a sole source agreement with ChargePoint Inc. for the supply of subscriptions, services, and parts necessary for its operations. This decision is based on RGRTA's determination that ChargePoint Inc. is the only known vendor capable of providing these specific products. The contract, which will span five years from March 5, 2025, to July 27, 2029, covers multiple counties including Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, and Wyoming, with services to be performed at their Rochester location. The notice invites other firms to demonstrate their ability to supply the required products if they believe they can meet the specifications and terms, although RGRTA may proceed with a competitive procurement if responsible vendors are identified. The advertisement emphasizes that this is an exemption from standard advertising due to the sole source nature of the award. The contract value is estimated to range between $500,000 and $2,000,000. Interested parties can contact Sarah Chappell, the Manager of Procurement, via email or phone for further details. The notice was posted on September 8, 2025, with a response deadline of September 15, 2025.
