This Pre-Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District to inform interested/potential contractors of the District's imminent issue of a Request for Proposal Package for its construction project, entitled "CHICAGOLAND UNDERFLOW PLAN (CUP) MCCOOK RESERVOIR TUNNEL SYSTEM REPAIRS located in the COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS." PROJECT INFORMATION: The MTS will consist of repair and/or replace various electrical and mechanical systems, Valve Chamber drainage improvements, concrete repairs, re-coating of valves, piping and other equipment, partitioning a room within the Control Building and other miscellaneous work. ACQUISITION INFORMATION: Competition for this acquisition is set aside for Small Business Concerns. The Classification Code for this procurement is North American Industry System Code 237990, with a small business size standard in dollars of $36.5M. The magnitude of cost for construction is between $5M and $10M. The Request for Proposal (RFP) Package will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed navigated or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader.
