CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER FORT JACKSON, SC

The United States Army Corps of Engineers Charleston District is conducting market research via Request for Information W912HP26RA013 for the construction of a new Army standard design large-size Child Development Center at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. This project will replace the existing Scales Avenue CDC and consists of a 37,300 square foot building and 38,311 square feet of playground area. The facility is designed to accommodate 404 occupants, including 338 children and 66 staff members. Key components include developmental learning modules, administrative support spaces, a commercial kitchen, laundry, and various security and energy monitoring systems, as well as outdoor play areas with age-appropriate equipment and safety surfacing. The government intends to eventually award a Firm Fixed Price contract with an estimated magnitude between 25 million and 100 million dollars. Interested contractors under NAICS 236220 must demonstrate experience within the last seven years on similar projects valued at no less than 35 million dollars within the Continental United States. As part of the preliminary planning process, the government is seeking industry input on capabilities, bonding, and the potential use of a Project Labor Agreement, governed by FAR 52.222-33 and 52.222-34.
