The City of Calgary is seeking proposals for a centralized dispatch service and supporting technology solutions to coordinate and schedule on-demand wheelchair accessible taxi services across multiple taxi brokerages and independent drivers. The solution will provide customers with a single point of contact through multiple service channels, including telephone, web-based services, email, and mobile applications. The City's objectives are to improve access to wheelchair accessible taxi services, reduce customer wait times, enhance service reliability, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen program oversight through reporting and analytics capabilities. The City is seeking a Proponent with demonstrated experience delivering centralized transportation dispatch services and automated dispatch solutions in multi-provider environments. Experience supporting customers with mobility challenges and implementing accessible, customer-focused programs will be considered an asset. The proposed solution must support multiple taxi brokerages and independent accessible drivers, provide accurate trip status and wait-time information, and deliver reporting, analytics, and functionality that meets The City's operational requirements.
