The Medicine Hat Police Service (MHPS) is seeking a qualified and experienced Proponent to provide a fully managed, secure, and mission-critical telecommunications solution to support police operations. The successful Proponent will supply reliable mobile voice, data, and messaging services, standardized smartphones and lifecycle management, data-only connectivity, dedicated internet services, and remote connectivity solutions suitable for law-enforcement use. The selected Proponent must deliver consistent coverage, high-quality connectivity, robust security controls, and operational resiliency, ensuring uninterrupted service for sworn officers and civilian personnel in both urban and rural environments. This agreement will support approximately 191 smartphones, 47 data-only mobile connections, and associated dedicated and remote connectivity services. Estimated volumes are provided for evaluation purposes only and may increase or decrease during the contract term without penalty or change to unit pricing. In cases where existing hardware is incompatible with the awarded Proponent’s certified network, MHPS may continue to operate non-certified or alternate devices during natural replacement cycles without penalty or forced migration. The term of the agreement is to be for a period of three (3) years, with an option in favour of the City to extend the agreement on the same terms and conditions annually for an additional two (2) years.
