City of Miami (“City”) Industry Day – Citywide Enterprise Permitting System Solution (“CEPSS”)
The City of Miami’s Building Department (“Building”) intends to develop a Business Requirements Document (“BRD”) to capture all of the requirements for a Scope of Work (“SOW”) needed to issue a Request for Proposals (“RFP”) to realize the CEPSS.   The CEPSS will replace the City’s current permitting applications (iBuild, SPI, iPW) and provide a single platform to conduct permitting activities.  Furthermore, the CEPSS must provide a solution that empowers the public and all City stakeholder Departments (Public Works, Fire-Rescue, Zoning, Planning, & Building).
Therefore, Building is seeking input from the professional services / information technology consulting services industry to source the market for the latest initiatives on creating a BRD for the CEPSS.  To that end, the City will host an Industry Day on Thursday, August 8th, 2024.  Attendance will be virtual and invites sent individually.  There are thirteen (13) separate meeting times initially available.  All interested parties wishing to attend the Industry Days must reply (“RSVP”) by no later than Friday, August 2, 2024.    On or before Monday, August 5, 2024, all parties who indicate their desire to attend via RSVP, will receive an email notification with their scheduled time and date.  Invitees will be sent questions to review and discuss at the Industry Day during their allotted time. The City will try its best to accommodate individual requests for scheduling.  However, it is the City’s intention to maintain the scheduled times provided.
Attendees will be given a thirty (30) minute opportunity to display, demonstrate, and provide information on their ideas.  The total number of participants is at the discretion of the City.   The organization chosen to develop the BRD  cannot participate in the RFP for the CEPSS.
Organizations seeking to participate in the Industry Day must: 1.  Be an established company providing professional services / information technology consulting services for a minimum of three (3) consecutive years; and 2.  Have provided professional services / information technology consulting services for governmental or quasi-governmental entities serving a population exceeding 300,000 residents within the United States of America within the past five (5) years.
