Citywide Replacement Tree Planting

The City of Cincinnati Department of Parks has issued RFP 275X901181 for citywide replacement tree planting services. The selected contractor will be responsible for sourcing, transporting, and planting up to 1,500 trees annually in Area 1 (North, East, and West Districts) and up to 500 trees annually in Area 2 (South District). The scope of work includes digging, planting, backfilling, mulching, watering, site inspection, utility marking, and permitting, all while adhering to the City of Cincinnati Traffic Safety Handbook and ANSI A300 pruning standards. A minimum one-year guarantee is required for all planted trees, with final acceptance determined by Urban Forestry staff following a guarantee period inspection. The contract period begins February 1, 2027, and ends June 30, 2028, with two optional twelve-month renewals. Pricing must remain firm for the initial 17-month period and must include a 1% administrative fee payable to the City. Payment terms include 10% retainage on each invoice until work is completed to the City's satisfaction. Proposals are due by 3:00 PM ET on October 22, 2026, and must be submitted electronically via the Bonfire portal. Award decisions will be based on the most advantageous proposal, considering price and other evaluation factors. Qualified offerors should provide proof of certification from the International Society of Arboriculture or the Ohio Green Industry Association and must comply with the City's Economic Inclusion and Equal Employment Opportunity programs.
