The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) is seeking a Vendor for claims administration services for the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians (DRAO) program, which provides assistance to eligible applicants who have incurred extraordinary costs due to a natural disaster. Eligible costs include clean-up and repairs necessary to return a primary home or main small business/farm/not-for-profit organization premises to a safe condition, replacement of essential contents or lost inventory, and emergency expenses. The successful Vendor will have knowledge of and experience in claims administration and adjustment for property damage sustained by residential, business, farm and not-for-profit applicants following natural disasters, licensed adjusting staff from a licensing body recognized in Ontario, strong project management skills, service standards for dealing with applicant queries, bilingual services, ability to provide services across the province at short notice, and record management capabilities to file and store submitted forms and supporting documentation consistent with privacy requirements.
