Full Description

The program transfer agreement occurred on February 20th, 2024. In June, 2024, Clarkson University Education programs, including the CAS-TESOL CR-ITI program, was transferred to Siena College due to a restructuring to focus on STEM fields. Clarkson University Education Department- TESOL programs won the contract in a competitive RFP competition in 2023. After winning the award, the Department was transferred to Siena College. The transfer was the result of a “restructuring” plan at Clarkson University that involved the sunsetting of any programs that are not STEM-related. For this reason, Siena College was selected as the vendor for this contract. In an agreement between the administration at Clarkson University and Siena College, all programs, faculty, and curriculum of the MAT Secondary and MAT/ CAS TESOL programs were transferred Clarkson has partnerships with the school districts of Albany, Shenendehowa, and Port Chester, and these will continue at Siena.
