Full Description

The Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) has awarded a contract on a sole-source basis to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation-Marine Systems (NGSC-MS) (CAGE 90099), located in Sunnyvale, CA, for Fiscal Year (FY) 2019 through 2024 shipbuilding and conversion and research and development efforts for technical engineering services, design and development engineering, component and full scale test and evaluation engineering, and tactical underwater launcher hardware production to support the development and production of the Common Missile Compartment. The anticipated contract will contain Level-of-Effort (LOE) and Completion Line items on a Cost-Plus-Incentive-Fee (CPIF) , Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) basis with an expected completion date of May 24, 2024. The award date was March 12, 2019. NGSC-MS is the only known source with the requisite design background, system knowledge and operational experience relative to the Common Missile Compartment capable of providing the required efforts within existing technical, cost and fleet schedule constraints. The attached Justification and Approval provides authority to award this as a sole-source effort. This notice is posted in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.301.
