Command Vehicle Upfitting Project

This solicitation, identified as FA286026Q0015 for the Command Vehicle Upfitting Project, is a combined synopsis and request for quotation issued under Subpart 12.202 for commercial items and is 100% set aside for small businesses as defined under FAR 19.5, with the NAICS code 336211 and a size standard of 1,000 employees. The requirement calls for the modification of 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 crew cab trucks, registered as G61C5483, to serve as Incident Command Vehicles capable of supporting emergency response, communications, and equipment storage needs. Modifications include removal of the front center console and middle seat to install a new console housing three mobile radios, a laptop carousel, emergency siren components, USB and C charging ports, binder shelves, and cup holders; installation of a fully extendable command work platform with integrated storage compartments; upgrade of the suspension system with supplemental leaf springs or airbag systems to accommodate increased weight; and application of comprehensive vehicle markings in strict compliance with NFPA 1901 and DOT/FMSS 308 standards, including retro-reflective chevron striping covering at least 50 percent of the rear area, 9 square inches of reflective material on each door, red/white conspicuity tape on interior door and bed-slide edges, and designated call signs on both sides and the rear.
