Commercial Heavy Armored Vehicle (CHAV) Level D Armored Vehicles

The United States Coast Guard, under the Department of Homeland Security, is seeking to procure three Commercial Heavy Armored Vehicles designated as CHAV Level D, which must be new, black, equipped with a 6.2L V8 engine, 4x4 drivetrain, and built on the Chevrolet Suburban or an equivalent chassis with a model year of 2025 or newer. All vehicles must be manufactured entirely within the continental United States, with in-house armoring performed domestically and no part of the production process allowed to be outsourced overseas. The vehicles must be stored in 24-hour secure facilities under the contractor’s control, and each contractor must demonstrate the ability to meet stringent security requirements, including holding a DCSA Secret-level security clearance for their facility. Delivery and performance of the contract will take place in Washington, D.C. only, and compliance with all specifications and security protocols is mandatory for award consideration.
