Item: Commercial Zero-Turn Riding Mowers (10) SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS: Commercial Zero-Turn Riding Mowers 1. SCOPE / PURPOSE The contractor shall provide a commercial-grade zero-turn riding mower to support grounds maintenance operations. The equipment must meet or exceed the following minimum essential physical, functional, and performance characteristics to ensure durability, operator safety, and compliance with Army regulations.2. PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS Cutting Width: The mower deck must have a cutting width of no less than 60 inches and no greater than 62 inches. Mower Deck Construction: Must be constructed of a minimum 7-gauge reinforced steel. Deck Adjustability and Features: Must feature an adjustable cutting height ranging from 1 inch to5 inches. The deck must include anti-scalp or gage wheels and a rubber discharge chute to prevent debris hazards. Tires/Wheels: Rear: Must be Tweel Turf (airless radial) or equivalent non-pneumatic turf tires to prevent flats and reduce maintenance. Front Casters: Must be solid, flat-free tires (smooth or ribbed).
