Complex Care and Research Unit – RPTs

The Provincial Health Services Authority is soliciting tenders for project E373-01, the renovation of the fifth floor of the Vancouver Cancer Center to create a Complex Care and Research Unit for Radiopharmaceutical Therapy. The scope of work includes the construction of theranostics rooms, a hot lab, and a waste room, with a specific focus on the installation of radiation protection assemblies, such as lead-lined steel doors and frames. Construction is anticipated to begin in early January. The project is managed by prime consultant ARCADIS, and the contractor will be designated as the prime contractor, responsible for all site health and safety, including the employment of a full-time on-site Construction Safety Officer and the implementation of a CSA Z317.13 compliant Infection Control Plan to minimize disruption to healthcare operations. Eligible bidders must be pre-qualified in acute care for either general contracting (greater than $1M), mechanical contracting (up to $1M), or electrical contracting (up to $1M). Tenders must be submitted in English via the FM Online Bidding System by November 2, 2026, at 3:00 PM Pacific Time. Mandatory submission requirements include a bid bond of at least 10 percent of the tender price, surety letters for performance and payment bonds, a confirmation of intention to bid two working days prior to closing, and completed relationship and funding disclosure forms. Award is contingent upon maintaining a valid Certificate of Recognition for safety and meeting all mandatory technical and administrative requirements.
