The San Francisco Office of the Controller has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to establish a prequalified pool of suppliers capable of providing public sector audit services across three key areas: performance, financial, and attestation audits; forensic accounting and investigative services; and financial, management, or accounting reviews. This initiative aims to support the Office of the Controller-City Services Auditor in delivering objective assessments of city services. Firms that were previously prequalified under the July 2022 pool are not required to reapply but may submit updated qualifications for consideration, which will be evaluated anew. The resulting contracts from this RFQ are anticipated to have a maximum annual value between $600,000 and $1,000,000, with contract durations not exceeding ten years, and will be awarded on a non-exclusive basis based on project needs. The RFQ process began with issuance on February 16, 2024, with a deadline for proposals set for March 15, 2024. The City will evaluate submissions to create a pool of qualified proposers, which may be utilized at the City’s discretion for future projects. The subcontracting goal for Local Business Enterprise (LBE) participation will be determined per project. The RFQ schedule includes a question deadline of February 23, 2024, and the posting of questions and answers on March 1, 2024. Interested firms are encouraged to submit a courtesy intent to respond by March 8, 2024, and can find additional details and updates through the City’s official procurement portal or by contacting the Central Contracts Office.
