STATEMENT OF WORK FOR BAK-14M RUNWAY CONCRETE CUTS 1. OVERVIEW 1.1. The contractor shall procure all tools, equipment, personal protective (safety) equipment, mobilization/demobilization, and labor for the concrete saw cutting of 18" existing runway concrete. 1.2. The contractor shall make the following cuts: 1.2.1. Four (4) 150 feet long full depth (18" deep minimum) edge cuts with a " wide blade. 1.2.2. Two (2) 150 feet long full depth (18" deep minimum) center relief cuts with a 1.5" wide kerf blade. 1.2.3. The contractor shall make as many passes as required to achieve full depth cuts per their equipment capabilities and construction best practices. 1.3. The Government shall have the following responsibilities: 1.3.1. Marking layout for cuts. 1.3.2. Removing concrete after cuts have been completed. 1.3.3. Escorting contractor on and off base. 1.4. Work will be completed at Nellis AFB, on a closed runway with a parallel active runway nearby with loud jet traffic. 2. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE 2.1. The work stated herein shall be completed in no more than three (3) consecutive work days, beginning on August 26th, 2017. 2.2. Daily work hours shall be coordinated after contract award. 3. CONTRACTOR LOCATION 3.1 The contractor needs to be located within 100 miles of the greater Las Vegas area due to the expedited needs of the 820th RHS.
