Construction On State Highway In Butte, Colusa, And Sutter Counties At Various Locations

Bid #03-0J6304: This project involves bridge scour mitigation at various locations in Butte, Colusa, and Sutter Counties on Routes 5, 20, and 70. Key work includes structural bracing at Sutter Bypass (Br No. 18-0005), rock slope protection (RSP) and fence work at Hunters Creek (Br No. 15-0015L/R) on Route 5, and RSP, fence work, and debris/vegetation removal at Dudley Creek (Br No. 12-0143) on Route 70. Erosion control measures, including bonded fiber matrix and temporary reinforced silt fences, are required. The project also involves the removal of roadside signs, installation of new signs, and management of treated wood waste, aerially deposited lead (ADL), and asbestos-containing construction materials (ACCM) from existing paint systems and barrier rail shims. Extensive temporary traffic control, water pollution control, and environmental stewardship measures, including biological monitoring for migratory birds and Giant Garter Snakes, are integral to the project.
