===NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROCUREMENT=== Title: Consultants for the Enabling Accessibility Fund (EAF) Solicitation number: 100024014 Description of the Requirement: Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) through its program, the Enabling Accessibility Fund (EAF) supports community and workplace-based projects that aim to improve accessibility and safety for people with disabilities by removing barriers in Canadian communities and workplaces through construction, renovation and retrofit projects. The primary objectives for the contractor will be to provide subject-matter expertise in the field of construction and accessible design. This includes: 1. The assessment of mid-sized projects from calls for proposals. 2. Yearly updates to the program’s existing costing models (flat rate costing from phases 1 to 4) with up-to-date costs and upgrades as necessary. Phase 1: ramps, accessible doors, and accessible washrooms. Phase 2: elevators, lifts, and pool lifts. Phase 3: accessible playgrounds, multi-sensory rooms and mobile sensory stations. Phase 4: accessible parking, accessible drop-off areas, and accessible electric vehicle charging stations. 3. Develop flexible and scalable models or tools that assign flat rate costing for additional project activities (phase 5 and subsequent, this could include kitchens, workstations, water fountains, exterior pathways, building entries, reception areas, tactile indicators, fire evacuation safety features, interior and exterior signage hearing loop systems, etc.). The contractor will be required to: • Activity 1: Develop and update tools regarding costing models. • Activity 2: Conduct project evaluations and develop recommendations. Level of Security Requirement: There are security requirements related to this solicitation. Please see PART 6 - SECURITY, FINANCIAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS of the solicitation. Proposed period of contract: The period of any resulting contract will be from contract award to one year later. Any resulting contract will include an irrevocable option to extend the resulting contract term by up to four (4) additional one (1) year periods under the same conditions.
