The U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration intends to award a sole source purchase order for contractor support services to provide secured transportation of controlled substances to include bulk quantities of marijuana and pharmaceuticals. All communication regarding this posting shall be in writing and be received by the archive date of this notice effective 12/31/2017. Point of contact is Nanaesi Amoo, email contact@example.gov. The proposed purchase order is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with Amtex Security, Inc. located at 1001 3rd. Street Suite 8, Chorus Christi, TX 78404. In accordance with Competition in Contracting Act, 41 USC 3304(a) (2), as implemented by FAR 6.302-2, other than full and open competition is authorized when there is only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy agency requirements. A Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been certified and approved. The following FAR Part 12.3 provisions and clauses are applicable to this acquisition: 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (Jan 2017) and 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items.(Jan 2017) The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at this internet address www.acquisition.gov/far and are attached. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 484230-Specialized Freight (except Used Goods) Trucking, Long Distance and the Size Standard $27.5 Million. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotation. A Request of Quotation (RFQ) is not available. The intended purchase order to which this notice is directed shall have a period of performance of six months. A follow on contract will be issued competitively through Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The closing date for this notice is December 31, 2017 at 7:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.
