The purpose of this Agreement is to fund follow-on work associated with the Cooking Energy and Ventilation Impacts on Children with Asthma (CEVICA) study. The follow-on project builds upon the ongoing, EPIC-funded CEVICA study by leveraging the existing participant cohort, field infrastructure, and data collected under the original agreement to generate additional policy-relevant research. Research conducted under this agreement will further investigate the relationships between cooking, ventilation and indoor air quality (IAQ); impacts of a real-time IAQ intervention to modify range hood use during fine particulate matter-generating cooking events; and consumer (low-income households) perceptions and experiences of switching from gas to induction electric cooking.
