COUNTER UNCREWED AERIAL SYSTEMS (C-UAS) TECHNOLOGY Trade agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), Canada free trade agreements with Chile/Colombia/Honduras/Panama, Canada-Peru Free Trade Agreement. Policy on Reciprocal Procurement: This solicitation is open only to Canadian suppliers and to Suppliers of an applicable trading partner. Competitive Procurement Strategy: not applicable. This is a Request for Information. Nature of this RFI: The Correctional Service Canada is requesting industry feedback regarding Counter-Uncrewed Aerial Systems (C-UAS) technology. Uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) are also commonly referred to as drones, Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS). The following is a summary of the objectives of this RFI. Objectives: To gain a comprehensive understanding of C-UAS technology available in the current marketplace, identify technologies, tools, and potential suppliers, and use the resulting data and information to inform future procurement, or pilot projects, or both related to UAS threat detection and mitigation in and around federal correctional institutions. This RFI is neither a call for tender nor a Request for Proposal (RFP). No agreement or contract will be entered into based on this RFI. The issuance of this RFI is not to be considered in any way as a commitment by the Government of Canada, nor as authority to potential respondents to undertake any work that could be charged to Canada.
