AI Contract Overview
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is proceeding with a sole-source procurement under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures to acquire covert concealment audio/video recording devices and proprietary replacement parts exclusively from Saul Mineroff Electronics, Inc. This action is justified under FAR 6.302-1 and FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii), as the required equipment is manufacturer-specific and unavailable from any other source, making competition inappropriate. The acquisition will be awarded as a firm-fixed-price purchase order, with no competitive solicitation planned, and the government retains full discretion in determining the award basis. The required capability statement from potential vendors must be submitted electronically by July 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time to Joyce E. Lee and Ameka Ali at their designated DEA email addresses. The place of performance for delivery and acceptance is Lorton, Virginia, 22079. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334290, corresponding to other electronic component manufacturing. No formal evaluation factors, pricing details, contract value estimates, packaging, preservation, marking, inspection, or acceptance criteria are specified in the available documentation beyond the necessity for compliance with the vendor's proprietary specifications and government operational needs. The contracting office is the DEA under the Department of Justice, with Joyce E. Lee and Ameka Ali serving as the primary points of contact for submissions; however, their official roles as PCO, COR, or COTR are not explicitly identified. No additional clauses, certifications, socioeconomic data, security requirements, or invoicing details are provided, and the contract is not subject to any set-aside or small business preferences. The solicitation number is D-26-ST-0175, and submissions are strictly limited to capability statements through email; no formal request for quotation or detailed technical specifications are currently available.
