SUMMARY:Through this Request for Proposals (“RFP”), the City of Merritt (the “City”) invites Proposals from suitability qualified and experienced companies, interested in performing work to replace the curling chiller at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena. The Work will include, but is not limited to, the following:The Work shall include removal of the existing ‘shell and tube’ chiller, with a new ‘plate and frame’ chiller.The Contractor will be required to produce Shop Drawings for the new systemThe Work shall also include piping works, and other associated works.Further details of the Work requirements is provided in Division 1, plus Exhibits A and B of this RFP. Location: The Place of the Work is the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena, 2075 Mamette Avenue, Merritt, BC.Maximum Budget: The City is not disclosing a maximum budget for this Work.Contract Time: The Work must be performed within the following strict ‘Work Window’, to align to the arena operation dates:Product ordering must be actioned to allow sufficient time to achieve this Work Window.The Work within the Place of the Work must commence no earlier than May 1st 2027The Work must be fully complete, with ‘Ready for Takeover’ achieved no later than end of day on June 30th 2027.The maximum duration of the Work (in weeks) at the Place of the Work, from commencement to Ready for Takeover, must not exceed 4 weeks.Form of Contract: The Form of Contract to be executed between the City and the Contractor for the Work will be the Canadian Construction Documents Committee CCDC2 – 2020 Stipulated Price Contract, as modified by Supplementary Conditions.
