Custom Garbage Tote Trailers for the Department of Public Works

The City of Buffalo is soliciting bids for the procurement of three custom garbage tote trailers for the Department of Public Works, Parks and Streets. The trailers must be black 7000lb 102 by 16 inch utility trailers featuring 6 foot expanded metal sidewalls, 2 inch by 1.5 inch uprights, a 2 inch top rail, two 3500 lb Dexter axles with leaf springs, USA made ST205/75R15 tires, a 3000 lb swivel jack, and a 6 foot by 82 inch mesh spring assisted ramp. All quoted prices must include delivery to the Sanitation Garage at 386 Hamburg Street, Buffalo, New York. Proposals are due by September 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Bidders must use the provided official form and submit a non-collusion certification, debarment certification, and completed EEO-2A and 2B forms. The contract requires a commitment to minority and woman workforce goals of 25 percent and 5 percent, respectively, with matching business utilization goals. For bids of 20,000 dollars or more, a bid security of 10 percent is required, with only bid bonds accepted for amounts exceeding 250,000 dollars. A performance bond is required upon contract award unless a waiver is granted. The City reserves the right to award the contract based on price and delivery date to best serve its interests. The successful vendor will be paid within 30 days of approved completion and receipt of a proper invoice.
