Custom Garbage Tote Trailers for the Department of Public Works

The City of Buffalo is soliciting bids for the procurement of three custom garbage tote trailers for the Department of Public Works, Parks and Streets. The solicitation was issued on September 15, 2026, with a closing and bid opening date of September 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The required trailers must be black 7000LB 102 by 16 inch utility trailers featuring 6 foot expanded metal sidewalls, 2 by 1.5 inch uprights, a 2 inch top rail, two 3500 pound Dexter axles with leaf springs, USA made ST205/75R15 tires, a 3000 pound swivel jack, and a 6 by 82 inch mesh spring assisted ramp. All units must be delivered to the Sanitation Garage at 386 Hamburg Street, Buffalo, New York. Bidders must submit their proposals using the provided official form, executed in ink or typewriter. For bids of 20,000 dollars or more, a bid security of 10 percent is required via bid bond, bank draft, certified check, or letter of credit, though only bid bonds are acceptable for amounts exceeding 250,000 dollars. A performance bond is required upon contract award, although bidders may request a waiver by listing the associated cost savings.
