Full Description
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), intends to award a purchase order to Alaska Satellite Facility at the University of Alaska for software development services.
Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, in conjunction with the applicable simplified acquisition procedures.
To the best of the Governments knowledge, the Alaska Satellite Facility at the University of Alaska is the only source reasonably available to satisfy this requirement.
The U.S. Geological Survey intends to purchase a specialized software script capable of applying radiometric terrain correction to commercial Synthetic Aperture Radar imagery obtained under the auspices of the Civil Applications Committee and provided in file formats specified by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
The software script must enable full processing of National Imagery Transmission Format-formatted Sensor Independent Complex Data imagery from commercial satellite missions contracted through the National Reconnaissance Office and tasked by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency under the Civil Applications Committee. The required capability must include processing imagery from commercial SAR providers, including Capella Space, ICEYE, and Umbra.
The purpose of this notice is to satisfy the requirements of FAR Subpart 5.203. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes.
