Full Description

The Bureau of the Public Debt (BPD) intends to issue a contract, for a base period and two one-year options, on a sole source basis, to Metvante Corporation (formerly TREEV LLC.), 4900 W. Brown Deer Road, Milwaukee, WI 53223-2459, for the renewal of software licenses and maintenance associated with the Computer Output to Laser Disc (COLD) System. The software portion of the COLD System was developed by TREEV LLC. and designed for certain types of hardware infrastructures. There are several mission critical applications in BPD that have been programmed in conjunction with Metavante to utilize COLD specifically. Any changes to this code need to be coordinated with the programmers at Metavante in order to make necessary coding changes to the COLD software. Additionally, historical storage platters and accessing them requires Metavante expertise in previous software versions. Metavante's knowledge and understanding of its own software's default and custom developed interaction with z/OS and Windows based operating systems cannot be match by an outside source. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE. Public Debt will consider all affirmative responses received no later than 2:00 PM EST on August 6, 2007. Affirmative responses shall be accompanied by sufficient documentation to clearly show the ability to provide the required services at terms more advantageous to the Government. A request for more information or a copy of the solicitation will not be considered an affirmative response. If no affirmative response is received that clearly demonstrates the ability to meet all requirements and that it is more advantageous to the Government, we will make a sole-source award to Metavante Corporation.
