Full Description

This notice is for the procurement, installation, operation, management, and maintenance of a Project-25 (P-25), secure LMR trunked system for use by the Kuwaiti Armed Forces and United States Government (USG). The customer for this procurement is Area Support Group - Kuwait (ASG-KU). ASG-KU is procuring the system for the Kuwait Ministry of Defense (KMOD). This contract will be procured on a sole source basis, as advised by KMOD, to Motorola Solutions, Inc., located at 1303 East Algonquin Road, Schaumburg, Illinois 60196, in accordance with FAR 6.302-4, International Agreement. This contract is to provide a digital, secure LMR trunked system as a replacement/upgrade to the existing Motorola Smartzone LMR System. The vendor shall provide a secure P-25 compliant wide area and local area UHF system with integrated voice, data, and Over The Air Re-Key (OTAR) capabilities as a replacement or upgrade to the existing P-25 LMR system. Under this contract, the contractor shall provide full turn-key services consisting of project management, system engineering, system staging and testing, system field technical support, system equipment and upgrades, installation, operation, management, maintenance and training. All infrastructure equipment and materials purchased by Kuwait Ministry of Defense (KMOD) under this contract shall be jointly used by USG and KMOD and maintained under KMOD's direction.
