D--Software support service contract for the Gambro Exalis software application

Department of Veterans Affairs VA MidSouth Healthcare Network (VISN 9) Notice of Intent to Sole Source: The Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Lexington, 1101 Veterans Drive, Lexington, KY 40502 intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Gambro Renal Products, Inc. of Lakewood, Colorado, for the purchase of software support services for the Gambro Exalis® software application. The NAICS code for these services is 541511 Custom Computer Programming Services with a size standard of $25.0 Million. The Government believes that Gambro Renal Products, Inc. is the only authorized provider for the software support services. This is a sole source procurement utilizing, 38 U.S.C. 8153 and Other than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes, however; any firm that believes it can provide these services may give written notification to the Contract Specialist, no later than 4:00 PM CST, March 7, 2011. Supporting evidence of the ability to provide support services for the Gambro Exalis® software application must be furnished in sufficient detail, to the Contract Specialist Dana Dixon via email address: contact@example.gov or faxed to +1 (555) 000-0000. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, VA will proceed with the sole source negotiation to Gambro Renal Products, Inc. for the required software support services.
