D -- Visionair Computer Aided Dispatch

Pursuant to FAR Part 13.5, this synopsis provides notice of FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia's intent to solicit a proposal to purchase, on a sole source basis, with VisionAir, 5601 Barbados Blvd, PO Box 9000, Castle Hayne, NC 28249; for the items listed below. The items are of commercial type and are: a full subscription to CAD Base Package Workstation Software; RMS base Package Workstation Software, complete software integration with the existing CAD software in use by the North Chicago, IL Police Dept, as well as establishment of full interoperability with the existing hardware (servers) and CAD tools in use by North Chicago PD. These items will be used to support the Recruit Training Center, Great Lakes, IL. VisionAir is the only known firm that can provide items that will be fully interoperable, interchangeable, and compatible with existing North Chicago PD CAD systems. This procurement will use the authority of Sec. 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 as implemented by FAR 13.501(a). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The government will not pay for any information received.
