Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract DLA Distribution intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.203-1 "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements (Citation: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1))" for the upgrade of eighteen (18) Dematic Automated Storage Modules (ASM), Model HK750. Procurement includes all necessary materials and engineering services to increase the ASMs operational capabilities through the elimination of obsolete hardware. Dematic would be providing materials and engineering services for the ASM which they have maintained and serviced since DDHU originally, competitively acquired the Dematic ASM. By continuing to maintain Dematic's services, the continuity would lessen the burden on the OT Cell when integrating this equipment. Due to their familiarity with the HK750 ASM, Dematic will be able to minimize their price and delivery time since they manufactured, installed, and serviced the equipment. Lastly, Dematic will be able to maintain system integrity while ensuring proper form, fit, and function while upgrading their hardware, ensuring minimal downtime of these mission critical storage systems. Interested contractors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 333922 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. PSC Code is 3910. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. Solicitation number SP3300-19-Q-5036. The solicitation will not be posted to the single Government Point of Entry, the Federal Business Opportunity website. However, a copy of this solicitation will be provided upon request. All responsible sources may respond by submitting qualifications/capabilities of the company by FRIDAY, JULY 26, 2019 at 5:30 PM EST to Tyler Houser, Phone: +1 (555) 000-0000 or email: contact@example.gov for consideration by the agency. If no affirmative responses are received, a purchase order will be negotiated and awarded to Dematic Corporation.
