Nature of Requirements: The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement. The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) has a requirement to provide dental services to all Federal Institutions in the Ontario Region. The Ontario Region Health Services requires a Dental Hygienist to support dental screening for Federal offenders entering CSC, as well as to provide non-essential oral hygiene services to offenders choosing to pay for preventative health. Objectives: Provide intake dental screening services as a member of the multi-disciplinary dental team to newcomers to the federal system including initial dental hygiene assessment, x-rays and health promotion. Deliverables: The Contractor must provide dental hygiene services, including but not limited to assessment, periodontal therapy, preventative interventions, and oral health education in accordance with the National Essential Health Services Framework, CSC policies and guidelines, and the scope of practice defined by the regulatory body governing dental hygiene in the province where services are delivered. This includes any restrictions on independent practice, radiographic services, or specific procedures that require a dentist’s order or prescription.
