Page 2 of 2 THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 is posting this notice of intent because it is anticipated that a short-term Community Based Outpatient Clinic CBOC contract will be awarded for the Denton CBOC to Valor Healthcare, Inc. The CBOC will continue to provide Primary Health Care (PHC) for veteran beneficiaries of the VA North Texas Healthcare System (VANTHCS) Dallas VAMC 4500 S. Lancaster, Dallas, TX 76216. This notice is for informational purposes only. Responses to this notice should be sent via email to Dewana Raynor at contact@example.gov. No phone calls will be accepted. This is not a request for quote/proposal. Demonstration of the Contractor s Unique Qualifications or Nature of the Acquisition: The VA North Texas Healthcare System (VANTHCS) has a need to maintain Primary Care Services in and round the Dallas area. The services required by this procurement are essential to continue direct patient care to approximately 9000 veterans in Denton County, TX.; Valor Healthcare Inc. is currently providing these services. Due to the short timeframe Valor Healthcare Inc. is the only practical source capable of providing continuity of services. Any change in contractor support at this time is not feasible as the process would require the new contractor to locate a new facility, recruit and hire staffing, undergo VA background checks, and complete credentialing, which is not realistic given the time frame. Accordingly, Valor Healthcare, Inc. is the only company capable of providing the supplies and services without the Veteran s Health Administration experiencing unacceptable delays in fulfilling its requirements. A sole source contract to the current contractor, Valor Healthcare, Inc. will keep the Denton CBOC open for the Veterans currently receiving care at this location until a new contract is placed.
