Full Description

USAID/Tanzania is seeking the services of a resident hire U.S. PSC to serve as the U.S. Government interagency DREAMS Coordinator. This position will work across U.S. Government (USG) agencies (State Department, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Department of Defense, Peace Corps, and USAID) and is based in the Health Office of USAID/Tanzania. The coordinator will report to USAID's Community-Based Services Team Leader. The DREAMS Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring harmonized and strategic programming and oversight of initiative-funded activities. The Coordinator will have a range of cross-cutting responsibilities for designing, planning, monitoring, and overseeing the initiative. These responsibilities will include regular contact and collaboration at technical and policy levels in a complex and rapidly evolving country context. The Coordinator will liaise with counterparts in the Government of Tanzania Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, the Elderly; the National AIDS Council; the Tanzania AIDS Commission for HIV/AIDS, President's Office for Regional and Local Government; and other relevant ministries and agencies. Dependents of U.S. employees or contractors who are currently assigned to Dar es Salaam are encouraged to apply.
