Full Description

NASA/GSFC has a requirement for (Quantity of 25) Single Mode DFB Distributive Feedback Lasers NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from RPMC Lasers, Inc. The single mode lasers are used in miniaturized laser hederodyne radiometer that measures methane. Minimum requirements include: - DFB (Distributive Feedback) - Lasers Centered at 1640 nm - Type 2 - 14-Pin Butterfly Mount - Single Mode Fiber - FC/APC connectors Deliverables and Delivery Schedule Single Mode DFB Distributive Feedback Lasers RPMC is to our knowledge, the only contractor able to manufacture and deliver a single mode, distributive feedback (DFB) laser at a required wavelength of 1640 nm. Delivery schedule shall be no later than 45 days after award. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing mail to: Monique.m.murrell@nasa.gov no later than 11:59 p.m. (EST) time on August 20, 2016. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
