The Department of Homeland Security's Office of the Chief Procurement Officer is organizing a one-day Industry Day event on December 3, 2008, at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C. The event aims to provide federal contractors—from large firms to small and disadvantaged businesses—with an opportunity to engage directly with DHS representatives. This forum is intended to enhance communication about DHS's acquisition plans, clarify requirements, and foster greater competition by sharing valuable industry-related information. Participation is limited to one representative per company, and space is constrained, so early registration through the designated conference website is recommended. The event specifically encourages attendance from diverse business categories, including Small Disadvantaged Businesses, 8(a) firms, HUBZone entities, Service Disabled Veteran Businesses, Veteran Owned Businesses, and Woman Owned Businesses. Presentations will also be accessible online via webcast on the day of the event, broadening the reach to interested parties unable to attend in person. For additional details or inquiries, participants can contact the designated contracting officer or event coordinator. This Industry Day serves as a strategic platform for contractors to better understand DHS's procurement activities and to explore upcoming contracting and subcontracting opportunities.
