The Department of Homeland Security’s Office of the Chief Procurement Officer is organizing an Industry Day event aimed at enhancing communication between DHS and the contractor community. Scheduled for December 3, 2008, at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C., this full-day forum is intended to share advance acquisition plans and DHS requirements with industry representatives. The event seeks to increase competition by providing insights into upcoming contracting and subcontracting opportunities, with a focus on inclusivity across a broad range of businesses, including small and disadvantaged firms, veteran-owned businesses, and woman-owned businesses. Attendance is limited to one representative per company, and space is constrained, making early registration essential through the provided conference website. Presentations will also be accessible via webcast, accommodating broader participation. The event is managed by the Contract Administration Services Division of DHS, with E. Darlene Bullock serving as the Contracting Officer point of contact for additional inquiries. This Industry Day provides a valuable opportunity for federal contractors interested in engaging with DHS to gain detailed information and establish connections relevant to upcoming procurement opportunities.
