DIGITAL X-RAY SERVICES ON THE ISLAND OF MAUI

The Hawaii Department of Health is soliciting an indefinite-quantity contract for digital X-ray services to support the Tuberculosis Control Branch and Public Health Nursing Branch on the island of Maui. The contractor will provide chest X-ray services for individuals suspected of having latent or active TB disease, with radiology office sites required to be located in Central Maui and/or Lahaina. The scope includes performing approximately 450 single-view images and 10 double-view images for children under five, utilizing CPT codes 71045, 71046, 71047, and 71048. Key deliverables include completing X-rays within five working days of referral, digitally transmitting images to the branch PACS via VPN in compliance with HIPAA, and providing CD copies upon request. The service period runs from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, with a total cost cap of 49,500 dollars. To be eligible for award, offerors must be Hawaii Compliance Express compliant and provide a Hawaii General Excise Tax License, a current radiological facility license, and at least three Hawaii-based references. Evaluation focuses on the offeror's years of experience and professional qualifications. The contract is governed by the AG-008 103D General Conditions, which mandate strict technological safeguards for personal information, security awareness training for employees, and specific tax clearance requirements for final payment. Invoicing is conducted monthly, and the contractor must maintain a log of all personal information disclosures and adhere to state laws regarding the destruction of records upon contract termination.
