Description: US Forestry Service Catering RFI Purpose: The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to conduct market research seeking to identify vendors who would be interested in offering on a forthcoming Request for Proposal (RFP) for providing the US Forestry Service with Catered meals in support of Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support's Subsistence Disaster relief efforts. The 2018 wildfires in California were unprecedented in length and magnitude and this trend is expected to continue. Fires can be expected to happen anywhere in the country, but they are most common in the West, where heat, drought, and frequent thunderstorms create perfect wildfire conditions. Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Washington, Colorado, Oregon, and California experience some of the worst in the United States. DLA is considering entering into contracts to provide catering support primarily in the western states anytime the US Forestry Service is called upon for firefighting services expected to last at least two (2) days. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a formal Request for Proposal, or promise to issue a solicitation in the future. Respondents are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in responding to this RFI. All inquiries must be submitted in writing via email to Robin.Novak@dla.mil and Alyssa.Marley@dla.mil.The Government will not entertain any further requests to meet individually with a contractor, and will not respond to any telephonic inquiries in response to this RFI. Please see the below capabilities and requirements for a description of the possible acquisition.
