Disney's Boat Rentals Project

The Disney's Boat Rentals project, located at 2200 Lakeshore Boulevard in Lakeport, California, involves the subdivision of a 6.07-acre lot into four separate parcels. The development includes the construction of a two-story, 4,778-square-foot rental office and boat storage building, a 12-space parking lot, and two concrete pads. Marine infrastructure consists of two floating docks secured by 17 anchors and 11 pylons. The customer dock features a 75-foot pier with five 10-inch pilings and a 25-foot gangway, while the fuel dock includes a 15-foot ramp, a 30-foot pier supported by five 8-inch and one 10-inch piling, and a 35-foot gangway. The project is governed by Lake Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. LAK-49958-R2, executed by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code. To ensure environmental compliance under the California Environmental Quality Act, a design modification was implemented to change the pier layout to a direct pier-gangway connection. This modification increased the number of support pilings from four to six to reduce the impact on sensitive tule vegetation. The City of Lakeport and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife have determined that these changes do not result in significant environmental effects, and the project has been approved with specific mitigation measures.
