The shelter cares for approximately 400 animals per day and requires nutritionally complete diets and reliable weekly deliveries to support twice‑daily feeding operations. This RFP establishes multiple-award, best‑value contracts designed to strengthen the County's food supply capabilities, improve nutrition options for animals with varying medical needs, ensure reliable access to prescription diets, and enhance the continuity of care for animals transitioning to adoptive homes.
