Project Title: E2 (UEM) YSK-J209 REPLACE DEAERATOR 1) Desired Completion Date: FY26 3) Fund Source: CNIC 4) Supported Customer: NAVFAC FE UEM 5) When funds will be available: 6) Work Priority: 2 Scope of Work: Replace and provide new deaerator assembly (deaerator tank, steam pressure control valve, feed water control valve, miscellaneous piping and gauges), top/bottom platform/railings and other portions of the base frame (severely corroded) to include pipe insulation/cladding Justification / Reason: Steam outage in J-Areas. Total steam capacity in CFAY (3 boiler plants) is 207ton/hr; J209 boiler plant is responsible for 36% steam production overall in CFAY that serves: (J area) Admin buildings, DODEA schools, NEX, Family Housing and Navy Lodge. Severe corrosion of platforms and railings are unsafe during daily checks/services. Deaerator installed in 2007 and has exceeded the average lifespan for boiler equipment and has severely corroded. Boiler deaerators must condition feed water to remove dissolved gases before it can be used in the boiler system, to protect the steam network and prevent corrosion and failure.
