EA 10-1L490_SR 88 PM 54.03-65.74 Culvert Replacement (Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. AMA-53636-R2)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number AMA-53636-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, California Department of Transportation. The project is limited to performing corrective actions on unauthorized culvert replacements and restoration activities. Prior to the issuance of the Agreement, unauthorized culvert replacement at PM 54.03, PM R56.61, and R65.74 occurred. Additional work consisted of grading both upstream and downstream of the culvert at PM 54.03 and PM R56.61, installation of 24-inch concrete flared end section and rock slope protection (RSP), placement of asphalt concrete and standard culvert backfill, trimming of riparian vegetation, and removal of mature riparian trees. Activities authorized by this Agreement include RSP corrections at PM 54.03 and PM R56.61. At PM R56.61, asphalt concrete erroneously installed at the inlet and any loose asphalt fragment at the outlet will be removed. Dewatering and temporary clear water diversions may be required if flowing or standing water is present. All temporarily disturbed areas from the culvert replacement will be restored to pre-project conditions.
