The NYS Office of Children and Family Services is implementing a modification to an existing contract with Docs For Tots, which is currently in its third year of a five-year term. The contract, originally established under CRER 586, involves providing training, technical assistance, data collection, and promoting developmental screening. The proposed changes aim to broaden the scope of these services by expanding dissemination channels to include additional sectors beyond the medical community, increasing the training audience, enhancing technical assistance to local communities, managing the data hub, and fostering environments that support developmental health and screening. These adjustments are designed to make the program more responsive to community needs without extending the contract period or increasing costs. The contract remains aligned with the federal grant timeline, running from August 1, 2021, through July 31, 2026, and covers all counties in New York State. The modification is classified as a sole-source award to Docs For Tots, with no additional funding or time allocated beyond the original agreement. The purpose of this exemption is to streamline the process given the unique qualifications of the recipient. Questions or comments related to this procurement should be directed to Michelle Scurry at the NYS Office of Children and Family Services.
